PROFESSIONAL STATUS
Mr. Ferrari is experienced in providing complete evaluation, analysis and design of new and existing buildings and structures of reinforced masonry, timber, concrete and steel. In addition, Mr. Ferrari has extensive experience in investigating distressed structures and architectural systems to determine the cause and extent of problems and has provided practical remedial designs and solutions.
The majority of Mr. Ferrari’s experience is with wood-framed construction; however, his experience in structural renovation also includes seismic retrofit of unreinforced masonry buildings; reinforced concrete and steel framed structures; concrete restoration and rehabilitation of structures with corrosion related damage; and structural retrofit of buildings with design and construction related deficiencies. He has provided construction administration for large reconstruction projects.
Mr. Ferrari’s experience also extends to architectural and construction related disciplines. He has completed investigations, evaluations and remedial design for retrofitting existing projects with construction defects, including solutions for deck, siding, stucco and roofing systems; as well as window systems, curtain walls, foundation and fire-resistive construction assemblies. Mr. Ferrari also worked as a full-time carpenter during a one year sabbatical from school.
Mr. Ferrari has extensive experience as an expert witness for construction litigation cases. He has given expert testimony in depositions, arbitrations and trials.
